Documents Checklist for Croatia Visa

Planning a visit to Croatia for tourism, family visit, or business purpose? Here’s a complete checklist of the required documents for a smooth visa application process:

General Documents

  • Original passport with 06 months validity from the date of travel and also old passports (if any).
  • 2 Recently clicked photographs with the specification 35mm X 45mm, White Background, Matt Finish, Dark Outfit, 80% Face Exposure, Without Spectacles, Both ears properly visible.
  • Cover letter mentioning your passport details, purpose of travel, travel dates and stay details.
  • Accommodation Proof.
  • Return Air Tickets.
  • Internal Air/Rail tickets (if travelling multiple Schengen Countries).
  • Travel Insurance (It shall be valid throughout the territory of the Member States and cover the entire period of the person’s intended stay).
  • Clear photocopies of valid UK, USA, Canada and Schengen visas (if any).

Financial Documents

  • Latest updated original saving bank statement for last 6 months updated with healthy and sufficient balance with banks sign and stamp.
  • Income Tax Return (ITR) or Form 16 for last 3 years.
  • Other Investment e.g. PPF, Mutual Fund, Shares, Bonds, Fix Deposits, Property Papers, etc.

If the applicant is employed

  • Pay Slips for the last 6 months
  • Original Leave Sanction Letter
  • Employment Contract

If the applicant is a company owner or self-employed

  • Business Proofs: GST Certificate, Partnership Deed, Company Registration Certificate (MOA).
  • Business Letterheads for Cover Letter.
  • Latest updated original bank statement for last 3 months updated with healthy and sufficient balance with bank sign and stamp.

If the applicant is Student or Retired Person

  • If Student: Bonafide Certificate or School, College ID Card or Fee Receipt.
  • If Retired: Retirement Letter or Pension Passbooks.

If applying Tourist Visa​

  • Hotel Booking Voucher.
  • Daywise Itinerary.

If applying Business Visa

  • Invitation letter - Signed letter from the host explaining the visit on company’s letter head with stamp & sign.
  • Letter of Guarantee by Legal Person of Inviting Company (Original should be deposited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of Croatia in Zagreb or enclosed with the application).
  • Passport Copy of host.
  • Proof of Registration if attending Exhibition.

If Visiting Family/Friend

  • Passport, Visa/PR copies of host.
  • Invitation letter from host.
  • Guarantee Letter from the Natural person in Croatia, stamped by public notary. (Original should be deposited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of Croatia in Zagreb or enclosed with the application).
  • Address Proof: Water Bill or Gas Bill or Telephone Bill or Tenancy Agreements.
  • Certificate proving the existence of family relations, if the applicant is visiting relatives.

Notes

  • Personal appearance required for each applicant at VFS for biometric & documents submission.
  • All documents must be in English Language (If not then must be translated in English & duly notarized).
  • All documents should be on A4 size paper.
  • The Respected Embassy or Consulate reserves the right to ask for additional documents and/or for a personal interview.
  • Applicants need to go personally for submission with prior appointment if applying for Schengen Visa.
  • 18% GST applicable on Service Charge.
  • Visa Fees are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Visa fees & Service charge are non-refundable if the visa is refused.
